Tacloban Business News – In line with the upcoming opening of classes next month, the Department of Trade and Industry Leyte Provincial Office, in coordination with the City Government of Tacloban will be conducting once again a Diskwento Caravan: Balik Eskwela Edition this May 24-26, 2017 at the Plaza Rizal, Tacloban City.
School supplies, bags, shoes and uniforms including basic goods and prime commodities will be sold to consumers at discounted prices. Among the local distributors who will participate in this three-day sale are Hanz Graphics, National Bookstore, Leyte Paperworld, Unitop, 578 Resources, Fast Distribution Corporation, Dranix Distribution, RAM Foods and River Valley Distribution Inc.
Also joining the said activity are local entrepreneurs of Tacloban selling processed food products and other items.
The public may also enjoy free massage and haircut for every purchase, courtesy of the Comprehensive Livelihood Entrepreneurial Program (CLEP) of Tacloban City Mayor Cristina G. Romualdez.
Information materials such as leaflets, tarpaulin of the latest SRP of basic products and other consumer tips will also be available to the public through the Consumer Welfare Desk to increase the public’s awareness on consumer rights and responsibilities.
Everyone is invited to take this opportunity to visit this diskwento sale and buy quality products at cheaper prices. It is open from 8:00 in the morning until five in the afternoon.
The Diskwento Caravan is being done three times a year by DTI Leyte in partnership with the City Government of Tacloban, and together with local distributors and micro small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) of the city. It aims to give consumers the best value for their money by providing them quality products at cheaper prices.
