Refugees no more

Philippine News, Cebu City – After almost three months of seeking refuge at the Family Rebuilding Center and Tent City provided by the Cebu City government at South Road Properties, all of almost 3,000 Yolanda refugees from Eastern Visayas in this city have now been able to safely return home to their respective homes in the provinces.

A farewell party took place in the Tent City recently where the local government bid farewell to their guests with Cebu Mayor Michael Rama announcing that the families stricken by super typhoon Yolanda will be going home through the ‘Balik-Probinsya Program’. The program gave the refugees free fare to Leyte and Samar and some pocket money.
