Ormoc News – Fluvial Parade and Procession held for Saints Peter and Paul

Ormoc News – Ormoc’s faithful led by the City Parish of Saints Peter and Paul, religious organizations, city district chapel delegates, students, local and national government agencies, and city residents today joined in the fluvial parade around Ormoc Bay. In the procession that followed, the statues of Ormoc’s patron Saints, St. Peter and St. Paul, were carried around the city to mark the 417th Annual Fiesta Celebration in Ormoc.

The City Government led by Mayor Edward Codilla slated various civic, entertainment and sports activities that started on June 12 in support of the religious festivities to show Ormoc City’s rise after super storm Haiyan hit this coastal locality. Activities focused on the promotion of local livelihood, small and medium enterprises, agriculture, services, cultural shows, sports and a grand fireworks display.
