Palo News – 184th Palo Day Celebration Starts with a Bang

PALO NEWS -–– Palo Leyte government officials and employees led town residents and visitors in a grand and colorful Mardi Gras parade as the municipality prepared to enter its 184th year.

The local government also launched this year’s celebration with an agri-aqua trade fair, a hip-hop dance contest and fireworks display.

Palo which celebrates its annual fiesta every 6th of August will also be holding a sports festival, cultural games, a livelihood and food festival, talent contest and cultural shows. The activities will be held at the municipality’s public plaza.

One of the municipalities hardest hit by super typhoon Haiyan in 2013, Palo communities are slowly recovering from the devastation caused by the tropical storm.
