ORMOC NEWS (CAMP DOWNES) – The Philippine Armys 802nd Infantry (Peerless) Brigade here under the command of Col. Dinoh Dolina took the lead in meeting members of the Leyte Corporate Security Alliance or LCSA in the province of Leyte.
This was disclosed by army Capt. Salvacion Evangelist in a statement just released by the 802nd Brigades Civil Military Office to the Visayan Business Post.
The recent conference sought to reorganize the alliance and to welcome as well as orient its new members. The undertaking is part of the army brigades strategy to enhance interoperability between different security forces operating in Leyte and intensify its engagement with all stakeholders to support the peace and development efforts of the government.
LCSA is the organized group of Security Managers and Officers of the different economic and other installations vital to the Province of Leyte and the national government. It is a venue where various security issues concerning the said installations and their areas of responsibility are tackled in the province.
“The Philippine Army today actively supports the provincial peace and other development initiatives to address socio economic issues. The conduct of the conference is very timely. The (802nd) brigade has envisioned that partnership is not just about burden sharing, it is about creating a concept and understanding of security that is shared not just among security forces and government institutions but also with the civil society and the community, Colonel Dolina said. Dolina added that the whole nation seeks to bring out concerted efforts among all stakeholders towards achieving national peace and security.
