CARIGARA NEWS –– Trial lawyer Antonni Cera of this town has asked the provincial prosecutor’s office here to investigate former Carigara mayor Anlie Go Apostol and five others for their alleged involvement in the killing of a Barugo native in 2012.

‘Following the confession of Alexander Savillano Tremedal who was positively identified as the gunman in the killing of Abango resident Dennis Mesias, we now have enough basis to ask for the inclusion of six additional suspects in Mesias’ murder’, Cera told news reporters.

‘My client is asking the provincial prosecutor to probe the possible inclusion of Anlie Go Apostol, Vilma Obaob, Alfred Obaob, Melanio Dacallos, Jay-R Tamamak, and Emmanuel Santos in light of recent set of evidences including an affidavit of confession by the alleged triggerman’, Cera told the Visayan Business Post.

Cera who is counsel to Mesias’ widow and private complainant Arlene Camayo also said that the prosecutor’s office have the power and jurisdiction to conduct the investigation even without a court order on the basis of the documentary evidences they submitted.

Despite the gunman’s reported confession describing the alleged role of Apostol in the 2012 killing of Dennis Mesias, now Leyte Board Member Anlie Apostol who is the daughter of Deputy Speaker for Visayas congressman Sergio Apostol has denied any involvement in the crime.
